1970 Chevelle SS

Matt came to us looking to transform his chevelle from big block drag car to a LS3 summer cruiser. After refining some previous work done to the car, it was off to the races.

Engine & Drivetrain

A GM crate LS3 was the perfect powerplant to modernize this build. Delivering plenty of power but still very street friendly. As for transmission the Tremec TKX 5 speed is the go to transmission for any LS in a 70s chevelle. No customization needed to the trans tunnel and perfect placement of the shifter.

Suspension

A set of Viking coilovers were the perfect solution to get this SS sitting right. Not only does it look better, it handles better too.

Engine Bay & Cooling

A big aluminum Be Cool radiator was installed to keep this set up running cool. We also re-routed as much factory wiring as we could to help clean up the engine bay.
